What comes to mind when you think of V-Day?In the past few weeks a couple of women were excitedly telling me about their new significant others and what they were doing with them to celebrate. Which had me thinking…

There seems to be so many kinds of love, love for our parents, children, significant others, friends, self. And there’s a feeling “out there” one may be better than another. Better if you’ve a romantic partner.

But is there more than one kind of love? Maybe it’s just love, coming from the love you feel within. Coming from the connection you have to joy and fulfillment which you extend to yourself and others.

Often I hear, “I don’t really like myself very much, or I don’t appreciate myself, or there’s something wrong with me because, I can’t get this eating thing handled, I’m this age and I still haven’t figured this out…

This Valentine’s Day I’d love to challenge you to go for love, love for yourself! Begin by seeing all the amazing ways you show up in the world. How much you give, how much you make a difference, how much people’s lives would be changed if you weren’t here.

Start a gratitude list, 10 things a day you love about you!

You’re amazing, how often do you miss how amazing you are being quick to point out where you miss the mark?

My invitation this Valentines Day, and month of love, is to see you!  Really see you, your brilliance, your gifts, your talents, because your value is needed! Not just because of what you do but because of who you are.
